A little animal was founded all alone, nearly naked behind a pet shop in Mississippi in January.
Robin Seals and Judy Roe from Wild At Heart Rescue saw the animal and decided to help.
“When I threw the net over him, it was the biggest adrenaline rush I think I’d ever had from relief,” Roe told The Dodo. “We were getting desperate because by the time I finally put the net on him, we realized a couple more days and he wouldn’t be here anymore — he was that bad.”
They soon realized that the animal was suffering from sarcoptic mange.
“He was living inside a shell of his own skin,” Roe said. “It was probably 2 inches thick across his entire body and hands and feet.”
So they treated the animals. Robin and Judy have said that the raccoon was in pain.
But sooner he felt better. His name is Hobo and now he is healthy and happy again after weeks of treatment.
Now he is able to run and play again as he used to do before.
