We have never witnessed an animal survival story quite like this one.
A coyote was discovered injured in an abandoned warehouse, according to a report that was made to members of the Solvang, California Animal Rescue Team. He was in really bad shape when they arrived, and it took them a long time to rescue him since they had to scale a fence to get to him. But what matters is that they were able to save him in the end.
They came to the conclusion that the coyote’s current blindness was the consequence of being shot in the forehead, between the eyes.
It was undoubtedly excruciating to see and hear the animal struggle to breathe and make noises of distress. He was severely underweight and bleeding as well. Simply put, she didn’t seem to have a good chance of living.
The crew moved rapidly to pull him out and provide him with prompt medical attention. One of the members of the rescue team said that she suffered a heart collapse while attempting to remove the coyote with a stick.
He was given adrenaline from a medical kit, which helped his heart briefly recover and allowed them to carry him.
He was taken to the doctor, where it was found that he had been shot between the eyes, causing him to go blind. He appeared to have been injured and lost for a few weeks before finding that location and seeking safety there.
Later, vets discovered that the coyote, called Angel, was expecting. They provided her with intense care for a month till she became stable. Angel gave birth to four lovely, healthy infants in March.
